Halloween Fun 2009

Tripp had a blast this Halloween! He dressed up as a Fireman and before heading over to our friend's Halloween Party, we stopped off at the Fire station. The Brookhaven Fire Dept. was so awesome and gave Tripp star treatment. He tried on all the fireman equipment and got inside the fire truck to "honk" the horn! Such fun! He had so much fun trick or treating despite the cold, rainy weather.Looking at his yummy candy corn!Had a hard time uploading this picture because I look gigantic!!! Just call me "big mama"! It was the only decent family picture. It was cold and rainy outside!Tripp's best buddy, Porter!
My little proud fireman!

The boy LOVES to sing...

So those of you who get to spend any amount of time with Tripp know that he talks non-stop. He's been talking in sentences since he was 20 months old! When he's not talking he's singing. Check out this video...

Chocolate Cobbler

Many of my facebook friends asked for the chocolate cobbler recipe, so I'm finally posting it. I can't take credit for the recipe, it came from my friend Georgi. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures.

Ingredients:
3/4 stick of butter
1 cup self-rising flour
3/4 cup sugar
11/2 T cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
*****
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
11/2 cup boiling water

The key to this dessert is how you assemble it...it's all about layering it, and NOT mixing!
Use an 8x8 pan.
Melt butter in 350 degree oven
Combine the ingredients above the stars to make a batter, then spoon over butter. Do NOT stir!
Next combine 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and sprinkle over batter

Finally pour 11/2 cups boiling water over the above mixtures (i boiled the water in the microwave)

350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes

Enjoy! I think you will love the yummy dessert!

BIG news!

Not only am I getting bigger, but my little man is a BIG boy now! With less then 4 months to go before the next little man gets here, it was time to whip this monster into shape!!! Tripp is in his BIG boy bed now (since about the middle of September), and is officially in BIG boy underwear only! The BIG boy bed transition was honestly a breeze. He's been going to the potty for a while, but we took the plunge and are VERY consistent with only BIG boy underwear. We picked out all new undies (Diego, Elmo, and Handy Manny at the moment), read Elmo's potty book, and have our treat cup right above the potty. He's doing great! I figured better now then when the baby is here. We are so proud of our BIG boy! Here's a couple pictures of our BIG boy bed and our BIG boy underwear! The rest are random pictures from this summer. Is is too late to blog about summer???? Prayers with Daddy in his BIG boy bed!I went on a BIG girl trip this summer with my best friend Georgi. A 30th birthday treat from her hubs! Thanks to her sweet husband, the trip was free for me. Are you ready for this??? He gave us a trip to Puerto Rico to the Ritz Carlton! Talk about about a blessing!!!!! I didn't get a decent picture of the two us(well, one that Georgi would approve of considering she was 8 months preggo)! In other summer news, we visited Guntersville Lake several times and took a trip to Louisville to see Dave's family! These three were having the best time! Ellie, Saddler, and Tripp. Who knows what they were talking about??!
In Louisville, we stayed with Valerie (dave's sister). Tripp, Harrison and Garrett probably rode the Gator 3 hours of each day. They LOVED it! Tripp would have ridden all day if we would have let him. Garrett and Harrison have been driving the gator since they were Tripp's age, so I didn't worry a bit. When Tripp wasn't riding the Gator, he was swimming with his cousins. Don't ask me why I have about three pictures total of this trip. We saw 13 of Tripp's cousins, not to mention three aunts and three uncles, and I managed to get these two pics. Oh well, good thing we're going back for Thanksgiving...I hope!

Anybody There?

Judson, Tripp, Saddler, Ellie, and Jeremiah (Fourth of July) Two more on the way, Heather is due with number 5 in early December and I will be shortly behind in early February!!
I know most of you have lost faith in my blogging abilities, and I don't blame you. We currently don't have Internet at my house and that poses a problem for blogging. I have a blackberry and so I still use my google reader to keep up with you guys. The downside is its too hard to blog from my blackberry and it won't let me leave comments on other blogs (through reader)! So, just to update you all...we're pregnant with number two! A little boy will be joining our family around February 6th! I'm 19 weeks tomorrow! We are thrilled to bring another precious, BUSY boy into our family! I hope to get Internet before he's born so there will be some sort of documentation of his little life...if you know me, you know I don't scrapbook!!!! Until next time!

Tripp turned TWO!!!!!!!

My sweet boy turned two on April 27th! He had a John Deere birthday party. He's really into tractors these days. He had so much fun, and the highlight of the party was his John Deere Gator that Mimi and Papa bought him! There's a picture of it at the bottom. I can't believe he's two. It seems like yesterday we were praying God would bless us with a precious baby. The Lord outdid himself with this little guy. He brings us so much joy! We love you little man!!!!

Easter Sunday!

We spent Easter at my Mom's with Cord and Heather and all the kiddos! We had a wonderful weekend! We also had Tripp's 2nd Birthday Party, but I'll have to do a separate post for those fun pictures. Thanks Amy for Tripp's smocked bunny P.j.'s. They were sooooo cute! Tripp had lots of fun with his cousins and LOVED all of his John Deere tractors that were in his Easter Basket.

It didn"t take long for Tripp to realize that there was candy inside the eggs!!! I love this kid!

Still here!

I'm still here in case any of you still care or even check my blog for that matter! We're alive and well here in ATL! Here are a couple of pictures for a change of scenery!
My boys this fall playing in the leaves in our backyard.
We went to Chuckie Cheese. Tripp had a blast, but I think he didn't quite get the concept of ski ball (is that what it's called?). Tripp cheated a bit!
